Helios 7.5 tonne horsebox – Stunning included as standard
Much like the Compact Helios horsebox the larger Helios 7.5 tonne horsebox combines the perfect balance between aesthetic appeal, functionality and most important of all, a pleasing and comfortable environment for the horses. This larger Helios is designed as standard with an uncommonly high standard specification and payload.
The stunning Helios 7.5 tonne horsebox shape and size has been designed responsibly at the maximum length deemed capable of carrying (legally) the horses we stall for. It has an overall length of 7 metres (23’) with a payload (carrying capacity) of approximately 2.5 tonnes. This Helios model is spacious and stalled for up to three horses with a larger living area and two double beds (luton plus seating).
Based on the competent DAF LF 4.3 meter wheelbase chassis it retains an excellent turning circle, so is easy to drive. Through design, materials technology and innovation, we have manufactured the Helios to have the lowest load height possible. Throughout the whole range for added safety, this design feature eliminates sway and side wind rocking, giving greater stability and comfort for customer’s horses. Other benefits include increased internal height, now a massive 2.50 metres (8’ 3”) in the living and horse area and an extremely low stainless steel ramp at just 0.81 metres (32”) that is almost the full width of the horse area. This allows the largest of horses to load and turn more easily. Our exclusive curved roof system flows into the bespoke Helios luton pod making the horsebox aerodynamic with reduced wind noise, vibration and fuel consumption.
For longevity all of our horseboxes have the ground breaking Coat-X Polyurea protective coating sprayed in the horse area and on the ramps. Coat-X polyurea with its excellent grip and clean looks does not age, crack or shrink and is not affected by hot or cold weather. Because it is totally waterproof with good sound proofing properties it provides a finish that stands up to daily steam cleaning whilst adding a stress-free and safer ride for the horses.
looking to the future and to set the Helios range apart, each has an auxiliary battery system with solar charging, plus solar charging for the chassis batteries and the mains hook up has conditioner charging too. The horse area has an air extraction system and an integrated stainless steel safety cell with tubular stainless steel horse partitions and rear horse doors. We also include metallic paint, new upholstery throughout and bonded windows with smoked glass. Each is a totally bespoke build and backed up with our comprehensive two year warranty.
To drive the Compact Helios 7.5 tonne horsebox you require a category C1 licence, or a category B (car) licence if passed before January 1st 1997. Fuel consumption is highly economical and with significant reduction in road noise and vibration it is extremely quiet. Equipped with anti-lock brakes and the lowest possible centre of gravity; the safety-conscious Compact Helios horsebox is the perfect all-rounder.
