KPH Ethos
Safety | Quality | Durability
The KPH ethos is to manufacture the safest possible horse transport for our customers and their horses.
Customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.
The majority of our new business is gained from customer recommendations, so we recognise the importance of forging strong relationships that are built on trust.
The KPH team are dedicated to providing a service that is defined by the quality of our designs, durability of our horseboxes and exceptional customer care.
We aim High
We possess a highly knowledgeable, long serving senior management team. We also believe in keeping an eye on the future and that’s why we make a significant investment in young people. Our apprentices provide an enthusiastic source of energy and inspiration for the whole company. We are proud of our workmanship and manufacture to last. For this reason it is extremely rare to see one of our preloved horseboxes for sale.
It is not unusual to see members of the team photographing each vehicle as it departs the workshop and of course we’d never let a KPH horsebox leave before our lovable pet Labradors Izzy and Gem have given them the final nod!

Customer Reviews
Meet Kevin & Janet
“My relationship with horseboxes started as a young lad when I landed my dream job as a coach builder for Goldline horseboxes and it was here that I made the decision to qualify as a coded welder and rise up the ranks to foreman. As my career progressed I had the opportunity to speak to more and more customers and this made me realise the immense satisfaction I gained from turning their wish lists into a gleaming finished product and this is what drove Janet and I towards starting our own business. To this day, the most rewarding aspect of our job and the thing that still excites us the most is the moment we hand over the keys to a happy customer and walk them around their brand new KPH horsebox.”

Our Workshop
Our horseboxes are designed and manufactured by time served professionals.
We have put together an excellent team who are very proud of our coach built Helios and Aeos horseboxes. Our team of sprayers have worked in the aircraft industry and again use the highest quality products, not just on the outside paintwork but also underneath the horsebox.
Our attention to detail throughout the build process is unrivalled, giving us the confidence to include a two year warranty on all our body work.
Because each KPH horsebox is a bespoke build, almost every aspect can be chosen by the customer.
Our standard builds have a high specification, with most items being exclusive to ourselves. These include, solar charging, large solar air extraction, Coat-X spray on polyurea coating, stainless steel ramps, rear frames and horse safety cages. Safety is of paramount importance in our builds with strength and longevity built into every horsebox as standard!
Payload and horse safety must be amongst the top considerations and as an example our lightest Helios weighs just 4.7 tonnes and our heaviest Helios with all the extras, just 5.38 tonnes. To achieve these high payloads and at the same time manufacture a horsebox that is stronger and safer, has taken years of expertise and considerable research. All our horseboxes benefit from Coat-X polyurea coating sprayed on our aluminium floors. This removes the need to fit older style heavy rubber mats and kick sheet. This product alone has many benefits and has transformed our horse areas and ramps into something quite unique.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer a full range of services from coach building advice and design, commercial spraying, Polyurea spraying, to vinyl stripes and just as importantly, customer after care and service.
Our Sprayshop
The commercial spray shop has proved invaluable for our KPH horsebox builds. Rather than manufacture a horsebox to completion then drive off the premises to have it painted, we paint at each stage of the build process. This increases the quality of our finished product in both looks and longevity.
Unfortunately horseboxes notoriously rot from the underside of the skirt up. So, as part of our commitment to building an unrivalled name in quality with the KPH brand, our commercial spray shop team paint every horsebox at the sub frame stage with 3 coats of protective paint and at the end of the build process, when the horsebox enters the spray shop again for full painting they respray the underside once more. They paint any added parts and then Waxoyl the whole underside.
For all our paintwork we use only Premium quality products and paint. Our paint procedures include full preparation; etch primer, 2k HS primer, base coat (metallic) and 2k clear coat or 2k solid colour.
If you require Vinyl decals or sprayed paint masks on your horsebox they can be designed to your own personal choice or we can design them for you.
